Just under half of consumers love to experiment with new hair and beauty products. Browsing online and in-store are the most common ways consumers learn about new hair and beauty products. Consumers are more inclined to experiment with new hair accessories and cosmetics, but more likely to stick with their staple trusted haircare products.

Aside from the benefits and results they want from beauty innovations, many consumers are also interested in products that are ethical and sustainable, vegan, and cruelty free. Wrapped up in the notion of ‘natural’, ’clean’, or ‘green’ beauty products are also concerns about the how the products produced and packaged.
