This report goes a step further to look at how the youngest generation, Gen Z, is embracing diversity and transcending labels, particularly in relation to concepts of gender and sexuality, and understanding what impact this has for the beauty industry.
Gen Z: The Transcenders
The face of beauty is changing. Gen Z consumers continue to come of age, meaning
that the size of the adult Gen Z population is growing, year on year. Gen Z's are important to beauty. However, they do not behave the same way as the generations that have come before them. The way these consumers interact with beauty is already changing.
All Generations: Multicultural Women Embrace and Value Diversity
Gen Z may be at the forefront of a new era of diversity and inclusion, however all
generations of multicultural women support and value diversity. Overall, most respondents said that they are personally accepting of everyone and treat people equally regardless of race, age, body size, gender, sexuality, or disability.
